Programme of the basic check-up

8:45 a.m.
Blood sampling and testing
Full blood count: measures relating to liver, kidneys and gall bladder, blood lipid concentration, blood sugar concentration, tumour markers, thyroid values, etc.
NEW: Insulin / Homa index for evaluation of your individual diabetes risk, Ferritin-test to exclude an excess or deficiency of iron

NEW: Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA)
Software-assisted determination of height, weight, body mass index, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, etc.

9:00 a.m.
Colour ultrasound examination of abdominal organs, urinary bladder and thyroid gland
plus prostate (men) and uterus (women)

10:00 a.m.
Vascular diagnosis
Colour ultrasound examination of all major arteries, the abdominal aorta and leg arteries

10:30 am
Cardiovascular and lung examinations
3D colour ultrasound of the heart, resting and exercise ECG tests – NEW: with determination of the cardiac axis, lung function test, spiroergometry (test of physical fitness)

11:00 a.m.
Pause for breakfast
Enjoy a tasty breakfast at the nearby Steigenberger Hotel.

12:00 noon
Dermatological examination
Complete skin inspection using incident light microscopy, melanoma screening, skin type determination

12:30 p.m.
OPTIONALLY: Ophthalmological examination
Testing of visual acuity, measurement of intraocular pressure, ophthalmoscopy of the ocular fundus;
NEW: Amsler test for early detection of macular degeneration; determination of current eyeglass prescription values (refractometry)

OR: Muscle and mobility check-up
Testing of physical agility, strength and coordination

Final report
Thorough documentation of all findings
